When someone asks us to meditate, our mind often tells us to resolve the issues in our lives first, such as relationship problems, job problems, financial problems, health problems, and so on. Our mind likes to run away from the thought that something other than itself can take over, and it tries to fix the universe.
This is an essential part of Maya, the illusion that we can solve the problems in our lives. But the truth is, one problem gets solved, and another one creeps in. The mind will never give up trying to solve problems.
If the problems in this universe could be solved, wouldn't great one like Krishna, Jesus, and Buddha have solved it? Or even great mathematicians, scientists, and warriors would have solved it?
The universe is like a puzzle. No matter how we twist and turn it, it will autocorrect and new problems will arise.
It's like patching a Windows machine. It keeps us busy, but the patches will keep coming.
We need to get away from this drama and first be happy, joyful, calm, and content wherever we are. But to reach that position, we need to meditate.
We have been thinking all our lives, and we will keep doing it for the rest of our lives. Why not give our mind a rest and start focusing inward by meditating and connecting with the *Creator/ Divine/Param Bhram* ? Maybe we will receive some answers, or maybe all the answers.
