The Unbroken Promise

The Unbroken Promise

When we are in the most difficult situations, we often remember GOD the most, and our prayers become more intense. This is one way that we become attuned to GOD. Isn't it true that we are more connected to GOD when we are suffering? Perhaps we are giving our bodies and minds the wrong impression, that our connection to GOD is only intensified when we are in pain.

Shouldn't we have the same intensity of prayer and connection to GOD when we are having the best of times in our lives? In that way, GOD would know that no matter whether we are in good times or bad times, our intensity never decreases. If GOD can cure our suffering when we pray intensely, isn't it likely that if we showed the same intensity when we are in good times, our good times would increase?

Humans are the only species that have been given the power to communicate with GOD at will. Before we were given this human life, GOD asked us, "My child, how often you will connect with me?" And we answered, "I will always connect with you every day." But when we are born, Maya (Illusion) makes us so busy that we forget GOD. Then, when pain strikes, we say, "GOD, I miss you. Please help me solve this problem/issue in my life." It's like a kid who leaves for college and says he/she will call every day, but gets busy with classes and other things and only remembers his/her parents when they need help. How does the parent feel? GOD feels the same.

It's possible that we got into human life after going through many different species, and maybe somewhere in the soul Consciousness, we always wanted to get a human life so we can connect to GOD and intensify our connection with him. GOD gave us a chance and has been giving us multiple chances in our lives to connect with him. We should strive to connect with GOD at all times. One way to connect and intensify our connection with GOD is through meditation.
